Bio

I have a post-doctoral position at National ICT Australia's Canberra Laboratory. I am a member of the Statistical Machine Learning research program

I wrote my PhD thesis in mathematics, more precisely in Banach space theory and operator theory. I was supervised by Sten Kaijser. The defence took place in December 2003 at the Department of Mathematics of Uppsala University in Sweden.

I have also been a visiting scholar for a year at the Mathematics Department of the University of Missouri in Columbia Missouri. I was visiting Nigel Kalton.

Research Interests

My current research is focused on Document Analysis and Stochastic Approximation.

I am a member of two NICTA/SML projects: DONAU and ANGIE

Teaching

I am not currently teaching. I have in the past been teaching at the Mathematics Department of Uppsala University. I have been teaching the following courses:
  • Calculus in one variable
  • Calculus in several variables
  • Basic Algebra
  • Linear Algebra
  • Fourier Analysis
